The challenge
A medical-center introduction that lists departments still leaves the reader as a visitor. Matching a need to a specialty, reading one slice as less than the whole, or seeing why a positive screening result is a starting point has nowhere to happen.
What we did
A custom HTML5 rebuild of the Storyline clinic introduction. The source still supplies the people and the places; the new course asks the reader to use them — a match, a handoff, a result — and see what follows. It stays general education. A list of departments is easy to skim. The rebuild asks for a judgment first: which expertise fits, what one view leaves out, and what a result does and does not mean.
Project highlights
- 20 scenes
- Five chapters, from the care continuum and the nine departments through the body and the labs. Any scene opens from the contents.
- Six labs
- A scan plane, a hand to cover, an SBAR handoff, a teach-back conversation, a Drug Facts comparison, and a field of two hundred people. Each one is something the department list could only name.
- Three reflections
- The close asks three questions and shows the feedback on each. The last scene counts scenes visited and reflections answered correctly.
